RIB Adventures
RIB Adventures is a small family-run business that offers fun and exciting RIB safari boat tours. The owner, Róbert, is the captain and our goal is to provide excellent and personal service. Since flexibility is possible when a company is small and our RIB boat is one of the best equipped in Iceland we offer private luxury tours. We have customized couple of private tours but we are also offering to help our customers to plan the tour of their dreams. Join us for a safe and comfortable, yet thrilling, ride on our new RIB safari boat, BLIKI. We look forward to having an unforgettable adventures with you.
RIB Adventures is located at the harbor in Kópavogur, very close to the Sky Lagoon. There is free parking at the harbor.
The boat - BLIKI
BLIKI is a 12 meters long and 4 meters wide Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) that was built in Poland in 2023. The boat has two 440 hp Volvo Penta inboards engines which provide great speed and power. BLIKI is very well equipped with safety equipment and 12 padded suspension jockey seats with shock mitigation that reduces all vibrations and impacts making the journey unusually smooth and comfortable as well as reducing risk for injury.
For extra fun BLIKI is equipped with powerful stereo speakers that passengers can blast if that interests the group and it is easy to connect via Bluetooth and play the music people like. In front of the seats it is possible to have a table and offer some refreshments og make a toast.

RIB Adventures ehf is a small family business and we are the team. Our ambition is to provide excellent and personal service and create happy memories with our customers.
Owner and captain
Róbert
Róbert is mechanical engineer with a MSc in machine engineering, a professional diver and an experienced sailor. He has been involved with sailing tourism for over 30 years, as captain and a tour guide for his parents company who were pioneers in offering sailing tours for tourists in the north west of Iceland. He also worked as an engineer on fishing ships for many years.
In the summer of 2023 Róbert realized a long-held dream of his to buy a RIB boat and start his own business, RIB Adventurs.
Róbert has completed all training and safety courses required by the Icelandic authorities to qualify as a certified captain: Navigation Licenses, Basic Safety Training and Crowd-and Crisis Management.
Harbor master
Erla Rán
Erla Rán is the owners youngest daughter and is extremely exited to work for RIB Adventures. Since she is only 15 years old she is not allowed to a tour guide yet but she will be tasked with keeping everything in order at the harbor, welcoming our guests and making sure they have everything they need (when she is not busy playing with friends or horseback riding).
Tour guide
Guðni Rafn
Guðni Rafn is the owners middle child and only son and is our main tour guide. He loves to play football, go fishing and spending time with friends and new acquaintances. He looks forward to making great memories with you all on board BLIKI.
Guðni Rafn has completed all safety courses required by Icelandic authorities to qualify as a guide, Basic Safety Training and Crowd-and Crisis Management.
